Drakojan Skies (2012) Logo

Here’s the final “Drakojan Skies” logo for the 2012 reboot.

Story: This is not only the Nachenyu tribe’s faction logo, but also represents the revered and legendary Nachenyu chieftain “Arganyu”, a blue-furred, silver armored guardian, who saved the tribe from almost certain destruction far back in ancient times.

Warriors who receive this pendant are rewarded the title of “Arganyu”, as a symbol of their astonishing contributions to secure the safety and prosperity of the Nachenyu people. This element plays a key role in the game’s story.

Check out the “Drakojan Skies – Development Blog” at our community for a live update report on the project.

“Drakojan Skies” 2013 Game Project + Character Concepts

The 2012 “Drakojan Skies” project is indeed a new game! Details are always subject to change, but for now here’s a small glimpse:

Brief Story Description: “Eight fighter pilots rebel against their own forces to protect those they were sent to destroy, exposing a conspiracy which threatens to unravel the bond between Earth and Ethonia forever.”

Currently planned features:

  • Classic old school 2D Side-Scrolling Shoot-Em-Up Gameplay
  • Chose between 3 ship classes (Scout – Fighter – Bomber)
  • Chose between 3 playable Akeshi classes (Hunter – Warrior – Warlord)
  • Upgradable Primary and Secondary weapons
  • Over 11 large levels with mid-bosses, checkpoints and end stage bosses
  • “Story-Mode” which contains nearly an hour of comic-/RPG-like cutscenes and character dialogue
  • “Arcade-Mode” for those who want to skip all the dialogue and story, and jump right into the action

The earliest release date is expected to be around summer 2013.

More updates later, but for now, here are portraits of 3 of the 11 main Akeshi characters:

“Drakojan Skies” Wallpaper + Concept Artwork

Thank you all very much who participated in the “Drakojan Skies” survey! We’ve gathered enough feedback to give us a very good idea on which direction to take the project. And a very big thanks to everyone who checked out our Facebook page! I was blown away by the awesome response it got in only a few weeks!

The Facebook page will act as a “First Access” portal, meaning all the latest news, screenshots, concept art, work-in-progress video-clips, demos and more regarding Adregalus will be posted there before it hits this site. We’ll also be posting weekly updates on our latest projects the moment their development process is in full swing.

Since the upcoming “Drakojan Skies” project is still in the “concept, research & design” phase, there won’t be much news until late this year – hopefully sooner. We hope it’ll be ready for the 10th anniversary of the Adregalus universe next year in 2012.

Until then, here’s a Teaser-Wallpaper:

“Atano Ni”

After years in hibernation, the series returns, but this isn’t the DS you might know from before…

Drakojan Skies 2011
Originally designed to be a complete reboot of the original 2005 game series, this upcoming project will feature a new cast of characters and an entirely new plot.

Rather than being a game, or series of episodes, this project is planned to be a collection of multiple animated, short productions, all taking place within years in or around the events of one larger storyline. These animations will not follow a chronological order, or the traditional rules of story-telling. One video may show aspects of the Akeshi’s daily lives, whereas the following release will focus on something else entirely, such as the technology used to power ancient cities. This will be an open, ongoing project, meaning there is no limit set as to how many animations will be made.

It is currently under consideration to have “Heritage” follow the same concept.

Development on “Drakojan Skies” begins after “Savage Huskies 2″, which is slated for a Q2 release this year. In related news, the original “Savage Huskies” game has reached thousands of more downloads than all “Drakojan Skies” games put together, making it the #1 most played game on this site since 2009.
As a thank you to everyone playing, there are now plans to continue the “Savage Huskies” universe after the release of the upcoming animated sequel. Expect more giant robot carnage in the future!

August 2011 Update: “Savage Huskies” also marks the final Adregalus game. As of 2011, games are no longer being developed due to software stability issues regarding the use of CG.

For those who just discovered Adregalus:
Please note that these projects take many months, if not years to complete. Since nothing is set into stone until after something is released, these projects will certainly evolve and change drastically over time. What is posted in this update, may suddenly change the next. Adregalus is a past-time hobby of mine, and it must adapt according to which project I am interested in at any given time.

To stay up to date on what projects are currently in the works, check out the projects page, here.
All the projects on that page are under development simultaneously. Unless stated otherwise, the priorities and release dates of these projects will be under constant change.

If something isn’t listed there, it is not under development.
