:: What Is Adregalus?
Made in the mid 90s, “Adregalus” is
a sci-fi/fantasy universe which currently consists
of 4 major chapters, each with their own unique
stories, plotlines and characters, all following
one or more major themes.
Each chapter covers a specific timeline, from
pre-historic times to modern, near distant and
far distant futures.
:: What Are The Main Aspects?
The major themes in the Adregalus chapters focus
mainly on the potential, the achievement, maturation,
past cultural heritage and more importantly, the
origins of mankind and the significance of intelligent
life on other planets.
Together in cooperation with other species, will
mankind learn to overcome and bridge cultural
gaps and to coexist peacefully with their other
worldly brethren.
Most of the chapters take place on the planet
Ethonia, a rich, lush, clean and beautiful planet
with many islands, inhabited by the Ethonians
and Akeshi. This planet’s beauty reflects
upon the many native cultures of both indigenous
species, as they strive to live peacefully with
the planet in both nature and in harmony. In contrast,
humanity has come to prefer to live in concrete
cities, in towering buildings made of steel and
glass.

Forgotten Rites
The “lost” chapter of the Adregalus
universe. “Heritage” tells the story
of humanity’s most troubled years on an
overpopulated, decadent Earth with the people
and their governments only interested in their
own power, well being and ignorant self satisfactions,
through means of blind-faith, conspiracies, cover-ups,
scandals and false flag operations.
A shocking discovery within an ancient structure
causes the world to question their true history,
as they accuse historians and archaeologists of
covering up a powerful, missing link in mankind’s
ancient past. A link, they believe, which can
and will redefine contemporary beliefs of our
species’ true origins.
After years of turbulence and political unrest,
a mission is secretly launched to search the stars
for further clues.
Upon finding an inhabitable planet marked on
ancient star maps, humanity accidentally makes
first contact with a primitive, yet highly intelligent
native alien race, very similar to our own: the
Ethonians. Through mankind’s influence and
support, these Ethonians will create their first
government, and by doing so, start a chain of
events which will bond our species together in
interplanetary friendship. Progress however, does
not come without its risk.

Chapter 1: Significance |
|
After years of productive cooperation between
Earth and Ethonia, politics are becoming tenser,
with each side leaning more towards cultural and
racial independence. Although humanity has matured
ever so slightly and has improved living conditions
on Earth, their past behaviour of greed and selfishness
has left a mark on one of Ethonia’s many
monarchies, the “Marathe” - the first
such monarchy to be established centuries ago,
through the help of mankind’s first settlers.
Now in a state of cold war, Earth’s major
governments, under the banner of the EDU, are
locked in heated political debate. Looming over
the Marathe monarchy, is a native Ethonian tribe
who have come to learn to distrust and even hate
mankind for interfering with the Ethonian’s
natural development. They direct their anger towards
the Marathe monarchy, for being influenced by
mankind and abandoning their traditional and sacred
cultural inheritance.
This tribe calls themselves the “Drazaek”.
Through a series of unfortunate events, three
infant Marathe princes have accidentally been
recovered by EDU forces during a raid on the royal
palace by Drazaek forces. Due to prolonged exposure
to humans within the area, the three princes have
undergone a genetic mutation, a change, which
altered their physical appearance resembling that
of humans. This impossible alteration shook both
factions, as they lessened their political aggression
towards one another, and agreed to keep this under
tight confidentiality to prevent the cold war
status from tipping over.
In order to prevent the genetic mutation from
altering any further, the EDU was ordered to secretly
raise the three princes until the age of 24. Their
past and heritage were to be kept secret from
not only them, but also to the rest of both worlds.
One question still remained, however… Their
change from Ethonian to Human, forces scientists
to question whether or not our species' DNA and
origins are more in common than we had previously
thought.
Them being of royal blood, and having inherited
this gene for generations, make this situation
even more unsettling.
During a routine transfer mission, a squadron
of eight royal Marathe air-force pilots have been
ordered to escort an EDU squadron and assist them
in bombing a few rebel camps off the coasts of
Fithkara, located in north western Ethonia. One
of the pilots of the royal 51st OmegaSquadron
is lead to believe his team's orders were falsified,
and senses a horrible plot stirring under the
possibility of a political cover-up. After taking
the risk into his own hands and retaliating against
his own forces, the pilot must now convince his
fellow squad mates that his beliefs are indeed
true.
Upon arriving at the designated location, the
pilots discover that the land is in fact a valley,
belonging to a peaceful tribe of Drakojans, the
Nachenyu. Proven that his beliefs were correct,
the pilots warned the Drakojans of their military's
intent. Now, together with the Nachenyu, the pilots
plan on solving the mystery as to what may have
caused their military to be so dreadfully misinformed.

Chapter 3: Forgotten Rites |
|
Many years after the Great War, are both man and
Ethonian hard at work repairing old wounds, and
strengthening the bridge between our species to
ensure a better future for our worlds. Together
they share the advanced technologies found hidden
within one of the ancient Pioneer cities on Ethonia,
technologies which were originally used during
the last war to fuel powerful war machines.
Now, all focus is directed towards the stars,
as research and exploration ships are sent out
to the far reaches of space, and to continue the
search, started many centuries ago; to find the
origins of our species and to discover the whereabouts
of those who left behind these ancient cities
on Ethonia.
Meanwhile, at an old military installation located
next to an ancient Pioneer city, which has only
been reactivated in the past couple of decades,
deconstruction work has been halted due to series
of strange events plaguing the work efforts.
Claims of people seeing shadows, smelling perfumes,
to objects moving on their own and machinery malfunctioning
and killing crew men, have all caused employees
to resign and abandon their position.
The Marathe Monarchy has ordered a full investigation
in hopes of being able to determine the cause
of these disturbances. Tanisha, a 23 year old
Ethonian orphan living with the Nachenyu drakojans,
has heard word of the monarchy’s intentions
and is asked to join the team due to her extensive
knowledge in the field of ancient Pioneer archaeology
and mythology.
She hopes that these disturbances are nothing
more than an old defense system left behind by
the Pioneers in the ancient city located near
the military complex, but her tribe’s chief
believes that things are more complicated than
they may seem.
