"Savage Huskies 2" WIP Stage Screenshots |
|
Below are two work in progress screenshots of one of the actual stages in Savage Huskies 2. Since all the graphics will be done in 3D CG, the stage will pan correctly left and right according to the player's position, giving a sense of realistic depth - something which the game's 2D predecessor lacked.
Unfortunately due to the use of fully rendered CG environments and characters, the file size will be immense.
Currently the game is about 50MB in size, and will most definitely sky rocket as development continues. Because of this, the game will not be available for streaming, but instead will be released as a downloadable executable file only.

"Savage Huskies 2" Production Screenshots |
|
Here's the first glimpse of some of the background elements to "Savage Huskies 2". Unlike previous games, all graphics in SH2 will be done entirely in 3D. The game, however, will still have 2D side scrolling gameplay.
The background will be a completely modeled and rendered environment, which will pan and move according to the player's position on the stage.
More news soon, but for now, here are two military hangars and a tower (click for larger resolution):
"Savage Huskies 2" will be entirely unlike the first game, with a brand new cast of characters, all new machines, settings, locations and story.

"3D Savage Huskies" - Released! |
|
Much like the game, this 1 minute movie focuses less on story and is instead geared entirely towards heavy metal action.
Click below and watch the sparks fly:
This project was a beginner's first attempt at 3D character animation.
Future projects now have the option to be made in 2D, 3D, or a hybrid of both. One technique will not be replaced by the other. Instead, projects will be done in a manner which best suits their chosen artistic style.
In other news, "Heritage" has been put on the back burner once more to pave way for "Savage Huskies 2", which is now in full production. "SH2" remains a short production and a website exclusive with only 1 or 2 stages max. Release date is 1st Q. 2011.

"Forgotten Rites" Trailer |
|
Here's the first glimpse of the new "Forgotten Rites" trailer!
This project will summarize the basic story concepts of "Forgotten Rites" in form of a short trailer.
Those who are familiar with the game's demo may recognize some locations in these screenshots. Some designs and story aspects have been changed a bit, but the overall idea has remained the same.
"Forgotten Rites" is a paranormal horror story taking place in a remote, abandoned military base near one of the many ancient cities on Ethonia.
More info coming up soon.

"Savage Huskies 2" News |
|
The sequel to Savage Huskies (which is actually a prequel and not related to the first, in terms of story), will feature a fully animated 3D CG video. Here's a small glimpse of one of the 3D characters, which is currently a work in progress:
This is only one of my first realistic attempts at modeling a character in 3D. Depending on the final results of this video project, more 3D CG movies might be made for future (and previous) Adregalus projects.

A new page has been added to the "Technologies" list:
:: STS-101 Entdeckung-I
Sharing a striking resemblance to triangular UFOs seen in the early 21st century, this shuttle is the main vehicle used by human explorers in Adregalus Chapter 0: Heritage.
For high-res images, please visit the Adregalus flickr gallery.
Updates on the site will slow down a bit, mostly due to the fact that production on the "Heritage" series is picking up speed. Expect a few screenshots and storyboards within a few more weeks.
This project will mark my return to episodic story telling since the 5-part animated "A Dragon's Destiny" series; complete with a full cast of characters, and the use of new technologies to help tell a story.
