Originally designed to be an actual flash game, “Savage Huskies 2″ was instead converted into a game-play video, due to technical issues regarding the use of embedded CG video clips in Adobe Flash. What is shown in these videos is the concept of “Savage Huskies 2″, and how it could have looked like as an actual game.

This is my biggest project to date with over 24 minutes of footage. It is also my second ever attempt at working with 3D CGI.

Unlike previous projects, “SH2″ was part of my final college exam. Because of this, I made a few DVDs, including a 164 page hardcover “making of” artbook.

Update: An edited, smaller version of the Artbook is now available as a 47MB PDF.

Since the ending to “Savage Huskies 2″ really stands out from the rest of the project, I’ve decided to post a seperate video which only contains the last few scenes of the animation:

Update:
Now that my studies are complete, I will begin focusing most of my time and effort working in a professional field. Because of this, I seriously doubt I will be able to continue working on Adregalus as much as I have in the past. What does this mean for the future of Adregalus? We’ll have to wait and see.

Furthermore, activity on this site will decrease over the next couple of months due to the time required to build all the CG assets, and experiment with the new software required for the upcoming project(s).

SH2 Cast
Taking place 25 years before the original, SH2 continues the story line of the E.D.U.’s special mobile infantry unit, the “Savage Huskies”. Follow Corporal Antonio Alvarez, a rookie military police officer, as he is forced to find the will and courage to survive an unstoppable assault by Ethonian tribal forces against an E.D.U. outpost on Ethonia.

The project features entirely new mechanical designs. While some old enemies from the first game will make an appearance, they have been recreated from the ground up:

“Savage Huskies 2″ will be a fully animated production, showing off the game play and cinematics of what could have been an actual game. However, as stated in previous news updates, due to the sheer size and nature of this project, it has become impossible to make this game using Adobe Flash.

The project is still a work in progress, and is scheduled for release in the Summer of this year.

Starting in April there will be weekly updates on the project.

Drakojan Skies

“Atano Ni”

After years in hibernation, the series returns, but this isn’t the DS you might know from before…

Drakojan Skies 2011
Originally designed to be a complete reboot of the original 2005 game series, this upcoming project will feature a new cast of characters and an entirely new plot.

Rather than being a game, or series of episodes, this project is planned to be a collection of multiple animated, short productions, all taking place within years in or around the events of one larger storyline. These animations will not follow a chronological order, or the traditional rules of story-telling. One video may show aspects of the Akeshi’s daily lives, whereas the following release will focus on something else entirely, such as the technology used to power ancient cities. This will be an open, ongoing project, meaning there is no limit set as to how many animations will be made.

It is currently under consideration to have “Heritage” follow the same concept.

Development on “Drakojan Skies” begins after “Savage Huskies 2″, which is slated for a Q2 release this year. In related news, the original “Savage Huskies” game has reached thousands of more downloads than all “Drakojan Skies” games put together, making it the #1 most played game on this site since 2009.
As a thank you to everyone playing, there are now plans to continue the “Savage Huskies” universe after the release of the upcoming animated sequel. Expect more giant robot carnage in the future!

August 2011 Update: “Savage Huskies” also marks the final Adregalus game. As of 2011, games are no longer being developed due to software stability issues regarding the use of CG.

For those who just discovered Adregalus:
Please note that these projects take many months, if not years to complete. Since nothing is set into stone until after something is released, these projects will certainly evolve and change drastically over time. What is posted in this update, may suddenly change the next. Adregalus is a past-time hobby of mine, and it must adapt according to which project I am interested in at any given time.

To stay up to date on what projects are currently in the works, check out the projects page, here.
All the projects on that page are under development simultaneously. Unless stated otherwise, the priorities and release dates of these projects will be under constant change.

If something isn’t listed there, it is not under development.
