Earth became a decadent fascist hell hole under the reign of the GTO. War, poverty and crime swept over the world as the classes grew drastically apart between rich and poor. Economies collapsed as people were forced onto the streets.

Viewed as the true essence of humanity by the Akeshi, the GTO is comprised of easily manipulated world leaders, private contractors and “self-interest” corporate business men from around the globe who control virtually all of Earth’s most important aspects, such as communication, internet, public transportation, fuel resources, weapons and much, much more.

Freedom and liberty was destroyed by the corporate take over of government. It became legal for corporations to be recognized as persons, and to sponsor and bribe politicians without limitation, therefore canceling out the donations and ballots of the people, ultimately drowning any democratic system whatsoever. Elections became extremely one sided without competition. Those who stood up for the people were severely demonized by the monopolies who controlled the press networks, spewing forth lies, smears, and conducting intensive fear-mongering campaigns.
The right to express free speech was abolished by the absolute take over of the media, rendering the internet a fully regulated system operated only by a few mega corporations. All content became severely biased with little to no access for those unwilling to pay a steep price for what used to be free content.

Martial law roamed the streets as the people were brainwashed by television channels, filled with political propaganda and religious morality.

People tried to flee their countries in hopes of finding a new, free life, only to be locked up in prisons, without a chance of defending themselves in court.

Through the sacrifices of a few courageous men and women, the lies, corruption and crimes against humanity by the GTO were exposed. Some revolted against the government as civil wars broke out, ravaging cities and states. The majority of the people, however, were too embedded within the GTO system and believed that it would be better to face death than risk even the slightest possibility of change.

Ironically, any, even the smallest amount of change would bring great positive outcomes. The world was in such a bad state, that things could only get better.

G.S.A. – Global Space Agency

From the ruins of NASA, a new space agency was formed under the banner of the GTO. Originally established by private contractors to secure absolute authority over space by placing surveillance and defense satellites in Earth’s orbit, the GSA also conducted black-ops programs to research new technologies. These would allow mankind to traverse the stars with the utmost of ease, and claim Mars and other planets and moons for their very own (and to place a hefty price tag on anything they come across, for future explorers).

Discovery Of Ethonia

The GSA discovered Ethonia a few centuries after the dismantling of the bankrupt stricken NASA. Rovers and satellites were sent to the alien planet, in hopes of finding valuable resources. All discoveries, information and collected samples however, were locked up in secure vaults, never to be seen by anyone other than the highest staff or trusted members of the GSA/GTO.

Some have accused the GSA of withholding photographic evidence of extra-terrestrial life discovered on the new planet. The majority of the people believed the GSA, when news broke of a team being sent to an Earth like planet, in order to establish a human colony on an uninhabited alien planet, similar to Earth.

What the GSA had originally planned, was kept under strict secrecy, until someone from the inside risked all they had to reveal the truth to the public. The reveal of the GSA’s true intentions only fueled the call for the dismantlement and eventually lead to the collapse of the GTO government.
