For years mankind has looked to the stars and asked themselves the question: Have we been visited before? Ever since the mid 20th century there have been theories which suggested upon disputed “evidence”, that mankind may have been visited in the past by advanced otherworldly beings which may have influenced our species in one way or another.

In the Adregalus universe there are only bits and pieces which refer to an advanced ancient alien race, which may have once visited both Earth and Ethonia in ancient times, and have left their fingerprints behind for a specific reason. These reasons, whatever they may be, are well known by the Akeshi and Ethonians.

Traces

The Pioneers were one of many organic species who explored our galaxy long before anyone else had. There’s hardly any actual physical traces of them on Earth, but there have been ancient texts, star maps, languages and writing systems uncovered which suggest the possibility that they were handed down to man by these Pioneers (or at least another, more advanced human civilization), many thousands of years ago in the early days of our first civilizations.

On Ethonia there are many totems, stone carvings and cultural traditions showing signs of an advanced alien race which brought culture to the Akeshis, even creating the species into what they are today; with a promise of returning to check up on them sometime in the far distant future.

For the Akeshi and Ethonians there are, however, two star faring species: The observers (creators) and the teachers. Both supposedly operate together in unison. Under which category the Pioneers fall is hotly debated.  
 

Influencing Mankind – A Prelude to Culture

In the Adregalus universe, the Cheops Pyramid contains many secret compartments built within the structure, practically unreachable to anyone. Only through state-of-the-art technology and scanning tools was it possible to find and explore these hidden, practically invisible chambers. Within them we found: star-maps, a writing and language system which predates every human civilization documented thus far.

It is theorized, that:
Many thousands of years ago, the Pioneers encountered mankind and decided to “help” us advance by teaching our species about the heavens. Unfortunately, mankind was still far too primitive to grasp this vast amount of knowledge. Leaving behind their teachings, the Pioneers left, and promised to return in the distant future, once mankind was ready. This knowledge continued to be passed on generation by generation, until we were finally able to interpret only fragments of what was given to us. This knowledge became highly respected, valued and guarded. In fear of losing this highly valuable (now religious) information to an upcoming and disastrous flood, it was suggested to construct a giant structure to house these artifacts. Hiding them away in many small shafts and compartment built within the structure itself, practically invisible to anyone, made them impossible to be plundered or stolen.

The Great Pyramid of Giza is the biggest, most secure “safe” ever to be constructed, housing powerful wisdom, enough to throw mankind in a new age of technological wonders. Something which didn’t happen until the 23rd century.

Other theories even suggest mankind might have received an additional, evolutionary “boost” or “jump-start”. The missing link between our ape-like ancestors and modern man may very well be the Pioneers who saw potential in our species and thus decided to give us the chance to evolve by mixing their genetic structure with ours.  
 

Creating the Akeshi

The Akeshis believe on physical evidence that their species was created by an advanced civilization from the stars. In the beginning, the planet Ethonia was ruled by fierce and ferocious dragon-like beings which ravaged the lands, killing and destroying everything in their way. One day, the “observers” arrived and saw the beauty of this planet. They saw that the only thing preventing this planet from becoming a peaceful paradise were the dragons.

Instead of letting the planet be destroyed by these terrible beasts, the observers decided to take the most promising of all dragons, and help them evolve into a more intelligent and peaceful species. Thus a new hybrid between the feral dragons and their own kin, was born.

Millions of years later, the “teachers” arrived on Ethonia.

Much to their shock, these hybrids turned out to be anything other than peaceful. Seeing how these hybrids were vicious and without any sign of culture, the teachers gathered the most wisest of all hybrids, brought them to one of their cities high up above the heavens and “blessed” (genetically altered) them with intellect, less aggressive behavior and the basics of culture, a writing system, mathematics and an extensive knowledge of astronomy. They named these new beings, “Akeshi” and returned them to Ethonia. Hoping that the Akeshi were now well equipped to conquer the hybrids, the pioneers left once again, with the promise of returning in the distant future.

During their absent however, the hybrids and Akeshi were constantly at each other’s necks. Many centuries later, the teachers returned to the planet, only to find nearly all the Akeshi slaughtered. The hybrids were too fierce and this planet would soon lose any and all chances of becoming a thriving world.

It was ultimately decided that in order to prevent this from happening, the Akeshis were to replace any and all hybrids. And so it happened. From that day forward, the Akeshis have grown into a highly advanced, spiritual culture with superior mental abilities, possible to manipulate the very gravity field around them.

Seeing how the planet would now be able to strive and flourish on its own, the teachers left a final time, leaving behind a new species, one forged from the Akeshis and the teachers themselves: the Ethonians.

It is a well known and proven fact that Ethonians carry Akeshi DNA. Both of these species have, as small as it may seem, genetic links to mankind as well.  
 

Ethonia – Ancient Cities Uncovered

Ethonia possibly has more than three cities left behind by the teachers. Only two have been confirmed thus far: one in the icy valleys up north, one underwater.

These cities, for whatever reason, are practically impossible to reach by using technology. Satellites record static and blurs from orbit, while looking down on these cities, whereas machines such as jets suddenly lose radar contact and shut down automatically as if struck by an EMP blast.

The city in the valley is located in an extremely hostile and deadly icy environment. Since machines do not work in the area, it is practically unreachable for humans or Ethonians.

The Akeshis on the other hand believe that these cities were left behind by the teachers and guarded extremely well by unknown forces, so that once a species is mature enough and prepared to understand whatever knowledge is locked away in these cities, would they then be able to survive the journey and unlock the hidden secrets on their own.  
 

Where Are They Now?

There’s no trace of where they have gone or whatever happened to them. It is believed by some elder Akeshis that the Pioneers haven’t returned to Ethonia, because they are no longer physical, organic beings. It is believed they have evolved into a higher state of consciousness, one which only a few elder Akeshis were able to reach and supposedly are in connection with.
